Available for an ArcGIS organization licensed with the Indoors extension.
You can set a home location for Indoor Viewer if one is not already configured in the portal. If you deployed Viewer with the kiosk mode, you will need to set the home location to make it easier for anonymous use by visitors.
Browser mode
To set the home location in your browser, do the following:
- Use a supported web browser to open Viewer.
- Search for a location or click a location on the map.
The location is displayed in the info panel.
- Click Set Home.
The home location is stored to the local file system of the device and is persisted across browser sessions.
Kiosk mode
To set the home location for kiosk mode, do the following:
- Use a supported web browser to open Viewer.
- Search for a location or click a location on the map.
The location is displayed in the info panel.
- In the info panel, click the Share drop-down arrow and click Copy to Clipboard.
- Open a new browser tab and paste the copied URL.
- Type /kiosk.html before the question mark (?) in the URL.
Before changes:
https://<yourportal.domain.com>/portal/apps/indoors?appid=<appid>&...
After changes:
https://<yourportal.domain.com>/portal/apps/indoors/kiosk.html?appid=<appid>&...
- Open the new URL for Viewer kiosk mode.
The home location is stored to the local file system of the device and is persisted across browser sessions.
